Over the last seventeen years, I have enjoyed and benefitted from attending exercise classes led by charismatic Kathleen Harkin. I enjoy the approach Kathleen takes towards instructing her yoga classes. Her enthusiasm is infectious and engaging but not over the top. Her knowledge is readily apparent and reassuring. She assesses the participants prior to beginning class and welcomes new comers so they feel comfortable and not intimidated. She is able to reach all levels by offering variations on poses and infusing some challenges for those who feel up to the challenge that day. I leave her classes feeling energized, calm, and accomplished. Most times participants want to chat with her after class offering accolades or asking questions.
